So how much bullshit does it take to furtilize a rose garden? If the math isn’t immediately clear, do not be deterred from calculating. Because the math here doesn’t matter. The amount of bullshit, whatever that is, is sufficient.

Remember Mexico would PAY for the WALL. Now think. Is the wall built. No. Has Mexico paid anything? No. Will Mexico pay anything? No. How much bullshit are we willing to tolerate.

What we do have is a shutdown of government. There is no depth too low. Trump has decided to dig in for the long term. It doesn’t matter that our system of government is in jeopardy. Nor does it matter that democracy lies in the balance. What matters to Trump is winning…and perhaps saving face. He will say and or do anything to save face and please the base.

It is exhausting watching this reality TV drama play out. Stop the madness.

The Democrats declare that they will strike a deal to get the government open. But unless they acquiesce to Trump’s demand for wall funding, he will not sign it. And now he has hit upon a new strategy: declare a national emergency. Who is coming up with this bullshit? Is it Rudy? Or somebody who has designs on destroying our way of life and our democracy as well.

Democracy can be undermined. We are seeing the process play out in real time. Does  Trump realize what he is doing is destroying us, or does it matter to him. Is it all about money, or is it something else.

If Trump is allowed to continue as president, he will destroy us. If you think that’s okay, then by all means continue to support him. But if there is the slightest, remotested chance that you do not want to destroy our country and our way of life, then make your voice heard. Let the Democrats know that you want nothing less than impeachment. There is no other way. The longer Trump remains in power, the more desperate our situation becomes.

Say no to Trump. Say yes to democracy.
