King Trump. He must love the sound of it. And he certainly feels entitled to it. Let’s examine how he got to the tower.

He made a few promises. He promised to build a wall. He promised to jail Hillary. He promised to do away with Obamacare. And he promised to “Make America Great Again”.

So how are we doing so far?

He has met with the prime minister of Japan, but he needed his daughter in the room to help explain him.

He has filled a few key cabinet posts. Apparently Mitt Romney is a front runner for Secretary of State. Seriously? Never gonna happen. Mitt is too much a rival and is too much a member of the elite club and so is in a position to recognize the king’s weaknesses and lack of clothes.

The jobs thing.  Here’s the rub. Manufacturing jobs are disappearing because technology has reduced the need for human participation. The generation most affected? Those poorly educated folks Trump loves. Baby Boomers who never went to college, who never embraced change, who never planned ahead and are now shit out of luck. But there’s always hope. You know, that someone will come along and make it all better. Someone who will magically make all those obsolete jobs reappear. And all the lazy idiots who have been waiting for something to happen, without the necessity to actually do anything, voted for this guy. And again, he will do nothing for you. Because he does not care. And once again, you should have been smarter. The way to create jobs? Boomers must die. Good luck. Life is unfair. And our first instinct to never trust “the man” was correct. But time erodes resolve and memory and the only thing that matters is what’s in it for me. We all deserve this guy.

Well..that’s harsh.

Wake up. Remember what it felt like to protest the establishment. Remember free love. Remember flower children. But remember most of all how we wanted to make the world a better place.  And this ain’t it.
